Moonit's excited our Facebook fans recently reached the 100 fan mark… Woohoo! We're not cracking the champagne over here just yet because that's not exactly a significant number by anybody's standards (especially when compared to our 1,700+ Twitter followers), but it's an important milestone for us nonetheless. We'll always look back on all the people who believed in us right from the beginning when others out there were asking themselves "moonwhat?" and when no one had a great feel for this mysterious offering we're introducing. In return, we pledge to do our best to keep our Facebook fans updated with all the goings on at moonit.com as we get ready for launch in late August. As a result of hitting that 100+ fan mark, we qualified for and subsequently procured our very own vanity url so no one has to use FB's search function to find moonit.com ever again. So keep facebook.com/moonit in your favorites!

We're still up in the air on HBO's new risque show Hung, but it definitely hits home for us. Not so much the part about a recently divorced male high school teacher taking up the age-old profession of, ahem, prostitution (for those of you just learning about us, that's not what we're doing)… The parallel we see lies between the two main characters' start-up toils and ours. Namely trying to get a small business off the ground when you've got an idea you really believe in that some people find a bit 'out there'… When you've got to hustle to get new users and market your offering cost-effectively… When you've got no money in the bank yet and you're giving your services for free… And then there's the part about establishing a brand and getting it out there virally. Especially their moniker "happiness consultants," which is kinda our mantra, too. Even though we're doing it in a slightly less physical way.

Looks like Moonit is on the same page as our new president, if Obama's recent NAACP speech is any indication. We couldn't help but notice when Obama urged African Americans to be realistic about the hardships they're enduring, but to also keep firmly in mind the fact that "your destiny is in your own hands." It was a truly inspirational speech empowering young people to rise up in the face of adversity, transcending their social situations to achieve their true potential. Dishing out the tough love, Obama continued "no excuses, no excuses… You get that education. All those hardships will just make you stronger." And then he really brought it on home "no one has written your destiny for you. Your destiny is in your hands–and don't you forget that." We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop on how things were going since we've been getting a lot of questions from those eagerly anticipating our relationship assessment offering. We're really happy to say that the prototype for our main offering is working now, and we've been able to test out a lot of our close personal and professional relationships to see what it spits out. We're in the process of getting a lot of the initial kinks out right now, but things are looking really good.
