has the media overhyped the swine flu? the answer might surprise you.

If you're starting to wonder whether we have reached the end of civilization as we know it, you're not alone. A stock market meltdown of epic proportions, a housing crisis that has no end in sight, increasing crime and poverty, a Britney/K-fed reconciliation…yup, these are fun times my friends. And now comes that sweet and ever so potent cherry on top: the Swine Flu. How bad is it? How long will it be here to bother us? Do I need to wear a mask everywhere I go? Should I cancel that date with that person who just came back from Cancun? These are just a few of the many questions criculating throughout mainstream America.

The staff here at Moonit would like to try to bring some clarity (alarm?) to this issue with a quick analysis of the moon cycles over the next month and what that means for the welfare of mankind. In short, the results are a somewhat sobering. Without getting into the technical aspects of what the chart says (a Jupiter/Neptune conjunction is in the mix for all you die hards out there), the current swine flu outbreak has the potential to be bigger and more widespread than anyone is expecting right now.

Basically, a world wide pandemic is a distinct possibility here. Even though this recent strain of influenza got its start in Mexico, we see this virus taking a greater toll in Asia, with China and India bearing the brunt of the pandemic. I know, I know, not what you wanted to hear. Don't worry, this is the same group that told you Lil Rounds would be in the top 3 on American Idol so don't jump out that window just yet (alternatively we did predict Adam Lambert would win American Idol so stay tuned). This predictive astrology stuff is difficult, but we at least try to get it in the right ballpark.

Our main focus as a Company is synastry (the art of deciding whether two people are compatible), but when an issue pops up of truly global importance, we will always try to offer our two cents as to what is really going on. And in this case, we think you should be more careful than you normally would be and  to postpone any trips that you may be planning for July to China and India.  Of course we will continue to monitor the evolution of this particular outbreak and will update this blog accordingly. Stay healthy my friends.
