moonit's take on millionaire matchmaking
In the spirit of market research, Moonit has begun to diligently watch the show Millionaire Matchmaker on Bravo. A third generation matchmaker, founder and CEO of the Millionaire's Club Patti Stanger is apparently quite successful at what she does: her 99% "success" rate seems to be a fairly good return on investment for relationship-minded millionaires willing to spend between $25K and $150K to find a suitable wife.

This price point is apparently recession proof, considering Patti boasts a significant international waiting list for her services. Moonit was on top of Patti's season opener last week during which two late twenty-something CEOs fancying themselves international men of mystery attempted to woo a gaggle of needy, surgically-enhanced LA-area hopefuls. Patti definitely has her work cut out for her with these two. A few very interesting things stand out about this show: the women claim they are there to find their "soul mate" and someone who is truly "compatible," while elements of astrology and psychology abound in their first date introductions!
One of the first questions asked was the quintessential, "What's your sign?" The cute blonde interactive web designer that one of the CEOs chose as his date accurately asserted right off the bat that Libras and Scorpios have a spark–in actuality, Libras are generally instantly attracted to Scorpios. Patti herself referenced astrology, complaining that her Virgo clients "need everyone to be perfect the second they step off the curb." Not sure if she's equipped to do this, but she has also tried her hand at psychology, diagnosing one of her clients (David) as a "Bragasaurus" with "NPD," which stands for Narcissistic Perfectionist Disorder. Moonit will certainly keep that clinical diagnosis in mind as we develop our psychological progressive profiling process…
